First and foremost thank you for your business! And I am glad that you are taking a step to invest in your own! Now let’s make your website work for you. Just wanted to share a couple tips that can help you as you edit your website.
Your website is not just about looking pretty, it should help you reach an audience even while you sleep! Structuring it in such a way can really help you bring in passive income and showcase your work in a professional way.
Squarespace is often doing updates - so things may move around as far as navigation bar and how you edit. Keep a look out for cool features like creating your own Courses and ways to monetize your website.

You can grab content and just move it around.
Stretch it or shrink it.
You can highlight several items and move the around.

My biggest tip is to add all your photos to your asset library at once. Separate by folders if needed.
This will help when you got to add the photo, you don’t need to upload each time.
Use good quality photos.
If you business is fairly new and don’t have many photos use sites like Unsplash & Pexel to find free/premium photos that you can use.
Squarespace is integrated with Unsplash so if you search for free images you will be searching via Unsplash
Make sure to resize your photos on mobil view they may get smaller or wider, just grab he corners and stretch.

At the top right corner you will see a brush that is where you can select the “Style” of your website.
Change font/size
Add colors

To edit toggle over the header and click edit.
Logos used should have a transparent background and can be resized.
You can edit your button, remove it, add social links up top.
If you add you logo to your footer make sure you add a link to it so when your audience clicks on it it will take them to the “home” page.

Each page/section can have its own colors.
Click on Edit Section >. Colors > Change it to theme one you want.
If you want to change particular colors within a color them, you can click edit on the colors to make site wide changes.

Make sure you double check these things before you launch your website!

This is a huge one! When you are don editing your website on desktop view. Click on the “mobile” icon (top right of your screen)
Typically you will see that your design looks completely different. Unfortunately this happens.
Go through and reorganize your content
Stretch/Center/Align all you buttons/photos again
What you do/design wise on mobile view won affect desktop view if you move things around.
Do this for each page. Most of you website traffic will come from mobile users, you want their experience to be top notch!

Make sure that all your buttons are being routed to the correct location.
If you have a button that is routed to an outside location off your website make sure you set “open in a new window”
This will help people stay links on your website too and not be diverted.
Double check all links that are added within lines as well

Make sure that your contact forms where your clients will reach you, update the email that it will go to.
Click on form > storage > add your email
Don’t be afraid to make your questions as detail as they may need to be. Remember you want to collect the info needed so you can better service them and or make known your prices.
Double check the links an where they get rerouted after submitting their inquire - add a personal touch
Pro tip - this can also be a method of up selling you can route them to a specific page.

This is a great and easy way to help your webite SEO. Using keywords in your URL, but to keep things simple make sure that you are updating the URL name for your pages according to your pages details.
On the navigation menu (left side of the screen) click on the pages setting icon > general > URL change it accordingly
Do this for you blog post too.

Consider this to be your own Linktree page. This pages purpose is to be looked at only from a mobile view. However since it’s on your website you have more control of what you can add to it.
Get creative highlight your lates blogs/ services / offerings
Edit it with a better introduction
Offer consultations? Add it straight on that page.
Remember to look at it via the “mobile” view

Copy / Or your website written content.
Trust me when I say alot of times. Less is more. Tell your audience exactly what you do and how you have the solution to their problem and why they should want/need your services.
Double check spelling. You can do this by copy/pasting everything into a word/google document and running spellcheck to make sure
Have CTA (Call to actions) Book Now, Contact Now, Book Appointment, Reach Out, Sign Up.
